Back in 2017, the Luxembourgish watch enthusiast Georges Weyer wanted to create his own time piece for his private collection. Upon researching, Georges met up with a high end Swiss watch manufacturer, a Luxembourgish designer and a French visual artist. Soon enough this project for one would turn into a brand called LOXO. A brand combining elements of science and art. The dial disk is divided into a polished and a matt side. Depending on the angle of the light you will notice how the dark/light dynamic between both sides changes. But it is not the only element that changes through the play of light. In order to capture the essence of time and the evolution and change it brings, the hands of this watch change with you in a well defined way. The exposure to sunlight will make their intense red colour soften into a classical copper look. If this particular reaction to light makes you think of nature, it is by design. We found inspiration in a plant, the calathea. The colour of the plant changes over time when it's exposed to sunlight. You will also notice a slightly tilted date window parallel to a line crossing the dial disk.
